Thabo September Foundation Background

The Thabo September Foundation was started by Thabo September, the captain of the Supersport United Football Club, as a vehicle to help people in his community of Knysna, the Southern Cape region and South Africa to reach their potential in everything they are doing.

This is a vehicle that is committed at helping youngsters to showcase their football talent so that they can be recognised and later on will take on other sporting codes, help matriculants to further their studies, help orphaned children to develop their skills and move forward with their lives, assist HIV/AIDS programmes in equipping their patience with life skills and better living.

Thabo September Foundation Mission:

• To put South Africa and the Garden Route on the map in terms of Community Outreach Programmes

• To provide opportunities for youngster at all sports codes.

• To educate people about importance of life skills and survival.

Aims and Objectives

• To run a competitive annual junior soccer tournament within the Southern Cape

• To attract professional footballers and coaches to cone and do coaching clinics and motivate the youngsters to pursue their dreams.

• To provide life skills coaching

• Create stronger relationships with other stakeholders like government, NGO’s, CBO’s , schools, the private sector etc

• Lay foundation for the establishment of a Football School of Excellence for the Southern Cape.

• To run a social uplifment programmes that will benefit young needy children from all communities.

• Reawakens a moral integrity and spirituality that embraces respect for all.

• Inspires, enlightens and enables people living with HIV/AIDS to live more positively.
